Faerie Dream 1 Cover

Hey everybody! AFter a long time here you have a new deviation, this is a very important one. Is the cover for the first book of my fantasy project (Faerie Dream). All the covers will be the same, the only change will be the subtitle.

It is a photomanipulation. The background is the cover of a really old book I have at home (it was printed in the 1863, really old). The golden margin is from another book (quite new, from this decade I think) and the keyhole was bought at ebay, I saw it and I instantly saw the cover in my head and had to buy it. The real one has a brown-rusty texture, I have tweaked it to look more goldish and pop out of the image. The tiny dots of light is the magic inside the book that comes out to meet the reader. I find it quite hypnotic, if I stay quiet looking at it during a bit of time I end up having the sensation that the dots of light are alive and will start to move around me or something. My bf says that it looks like you can enter inside the keyhole if you stay looking at it!

I've been like 4 hours or so working on it. I think that it worths the time spent on it. I'm proud of the result. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions.
